BLACKPOOL'S longestserving star Keith Southern has just picked up the biggest player's bonus in English football history - pounds 425,000 for winning promotion.

Southern - who has been with the Seasiders since they were on the brink of relegation to the bottom division - has earned the largest slice of the record pounds 5million jackpot put up by chairman Karl Oyston.

South African rugby fans in ticket anger

JOHANNESBURG, May 18 (Xinhua) -- Rugby fans in Cape Town, which hasn't seen a Super 14 semifinal in 11 years, were angry on Tuesday at not being able to secure tickets for Saturday's Super 14 semifinal in their city against the Waratahs from Sydney, Australia.

According to a report on rugby365, fans of the Cape Town team the Stormers in were left fuming on Tuesday morning after a South African national computer ticketing system crashed.

Irate fans called into radio stations and posted messages on social networking site Twitter, complaining that they had been unable to buy tickets.

Eyewitness News reported that dozens of fans had been unable to secure tickets after standing in queues for several hours.
