The Muc-Off Premium Footwear Shield is an epic environmentally-friendly spray-on treatment that’ll dial up the water repellency levels of your shoes, giving your feet the ultimate protection for your next ride or adventure, no matter how gnarly it gets. The Footwear Shield works in a very similar way to the Rain Shield DWR to create a durable water repellent on the surface of the shoe. Muc-Off uses an advanced polymer technology as the basis of their footwear shield. They then combine this with a range of silicone and wax emulsions to ensure that the product is as versatile as possible and can be used on a range of different materials. The Footwear Shield is hydrophobic and offers excellent water repellency. It also improves resistance to dirt and oil. Additionally, this blend of repellents provides the best solution to getting a repellent finish when air-dried. It uses a water-based formula and is safe on technical fabrics, suede, nubuck, leather and other fabrics*. Depending on how much you use the 250ml bottle will clean/treat around 6 pairs of shoes. How long will the Footwear Shield treatment last after application? The efficiency of the Footwear Shield applied to the surface of the shoes will gradually wear off over time with normal wear and cleaning, so we recommend refreshing the coating every 2-3 months depending on wear and cleaning. To maintain maximum performance and water repellency, it is recommended to re-apply after every clean. Can I use the kit on motorcycle boots or trainers? Spray generously onto freshly cleaned damp shoes. This will ensure excellent performance and curing is achieved. Soak up any excess with a clean cloth. Allow to air dry naturally.
